29 juin happy hourThis will be my first post about Prague, therefore I will write it in English. For those of you that right now hate me for that, I only hope to be able to change your opinion until the end.
So, let me begin! It was a normal day, almost like any other day this week, with one big difference: things got normal for me here. Until today, every day I lacked something: a plce to stay, money, telephone, internet, time etc. Starting with yesterday night and finishing with today in the afternoon, nature took its wonderful course and everything settled down.
After getting home from work I waited for a summer rain to stop. I don't know if you remember summer rains, because I have forgotten the last time when there was one in Bucharest. Mainly it's like this: witout notice, the first drop of rain falls down. In the next 5 seconds, it's one billion siblings follow it. This is the perfect recipe for getting wet in under 10 seconds. funny thing about them: you don't know when they start, until it's too late, and they surely don't stop before you're too wet. This night I got luck and only had to sqeeze a glass or two of water from my clothes.
However, the evening continued a lot better than I expected. After a quick tour through the Old Prague Town Center, the real good time began. About the Old Town Center, there's not much to be told: it's a very open space surrounded by old buildings, with small narrow streets, a lot of restaurants/coffee shops/other places to go for a drink and some occasional "gangsters" who try their best to sell you Mary Jane. I noticed only 3 buildings: the Olt Town Hall and a big church, which both have 2 towers (very fashionable architectural idea at the time they were build, i suppose) and an Astrological/Astronomical clock which is considered to be the third oldest one of its kind in Europe.
The small narrow streets are filled with shops for the naive tourists. I am one of those naive toursits.
Being out isn't much fun if you don't drink a beer. So we stopped by the Beer Factory club. When I say "we" I refer to me and my friend Cosmin. The Beer Factory is, for me, a one of the kind place. It's special because it's not very big (something like 15 tables), the music is good and each table in that club has its own 4 beer taps (robinete de bere). So when you sit at a table you can drink as much as you want when you want it. The beer is measured as you poure it and it costs about 37-38CZK, which is like 4 RON. It's a great place to be with your friends and I recommend it to all of you who will visit this town sooner or later. As a hint, it located very close to the National Museum, on the left side of the road as you walk down from the museum. No pictures available at this time, but I promise some in the future. One funny thing about that place, which is even funnier if you've seen Borat: the bodyguard there has "very small head, but very strong arms", just like Borat's retarded brother Bilo has.
One more thing: bilo in czech means white, so, more or less, everybody here, including us
Have a good night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pupici 22 juin angajam studenti in an terminalAsta am citit azi pe catva afise in timp ca ma plimbam prin Leu in cautarea unui loc racaros, primitor si gratis pentru a invata: Angajam student electonica/automatica in an terminal....+ variatiuni pe aceeasi tema.
Pe mine ma distreaza de multa vreme expresia asta, folosita in exces de firmele angajatoare: student in an terminal.
A doua perspectiva: student in an terminal comparat cu bolnav in aceeasi situatie. Hehe!
In alta ordine de idei, aseara am reusit sa vad Number 23. Si ma gandeam, in context, ca "student in an terminal" nu are decat 19 litere, nicidecum 23.
Noapte buna 20 juin first oneDeci am ajuns si aici. Primul meu blog. Hehe. Fiecare si-a facut treaba: ea a auzit-o, tu stii cam pe unde e si poti sa-i torni o galeata de apa in cap.
